CommMesh provides top-quality optical fiber connectors. You will need these for your network. These connectors ensure your data travels fast. Each connector has a ferrule, which is a 1.25mm thin tube. This tube holds the glass fiber and a connector body which is a plastic or metal, for protection.
The coupling mechanism keeps things secure. Typical insertion loss is under 0.25 dB. Expect return loss above 50 dB. We use single-mode (SM) 9/125 µm core. Multimode (MM) 50/125 µm, 62.5/125 µm are available. Our products have PC, UPC, and APC polish. They work well within -40°C to +85°C.
They are tested to TIA/EIA-568 standards, with zirconia ceramic ferrules. We provide simplex and duplex configurations and have wavelengths of 1310nm, 1550nm. There are also jacket sizes of 0.9mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm.
SC means Subscriber Connector. You can use them for quick connections. The 2.5mm ferrule ensures correct alignment. These have a push-pull mechanism. These SC optical fiber connectors use ceramic for best quality. The insertion loss is minimal. They have return loss >40 dB (UPC), >50 dB (APC).
LC stands for Lucent Connector. They are smaller, using a 1.25mm ferrule. These are great for tight spaces. This small optical fiber connector has low loss and RJ45-style latch. Insertion loss is <0.10 dB. Expect high return loss above 50 dB (UPC).
ST type is for Straight Tip. Use these with a twist lock. The 2.5mm ferrule in an ST optical fiber connector is a good choice. Insertion is simple. Insertion loss is <0.25 dB, with return loss >20 dB (PC), >40 dB (UPC).
MPO means Multi-fiber Push On. MTP is a better MPO. Use them for many fibers. These MPO optical fiber connectors handle 12, 24, or 72 fibers, using MT ferrules. Insertion loss is <0.50 dB. Return loss is >20 dB (PC), >60 dB (APC).
